Character Project WIP VII

Still havent gotten a whole lot of time to test out 3D coat, but its such a nice feeling being able to paint directly on the model instead of painting on photoshop then going back refreshing the texture on maya and keep going back and forth.

Also I just realized that I messed up on the chest belts, so I gotta go back and fix that up before I can continue painting on this.

I dun it I bought 3d coat!!!! (amateur version)

I was only able to play around with it for a little, but its pretty awesome so far!
I cant wait to start actually painting in the details!

Coming along nicely so far, but with school coming close to graduation things been buseey and work taking up most of my time as well...so I gotta do this during my little freetimeee! 

Character project WIP III

I think Im done for the character model sheet now.

Now I have two choice...to start making a simple rough block out of the model OR make a complete rendered drawing/painting of this character in some kind of action pose. I feel like the latter would be the better choice so I can get a sense of detail in the armor and what not...but I really want to start modeling this out ASAP!!!

Long time! Character project!

Its been a while!

Im going to start back this blog updating status of my small character project.

Starting from scratch from concept sketches to character sheet to 3d modeling I will be posting my WIP on this blog.

I have already started a few days ago so I will put them all together now.

First was figuring out what kind of character I wanted to make.

I really like the 3D models used in Bravely Default, so I decided that the style of character model I want to make is that of Bravely Default.

So afterwards I went back to my old character designs sketches I did and took a few and drew them out in the Braverly Default chibi style.

and I had my friends and random people choose which one they wanted to see turned into a 3D model.

B won the poll by a close margin A coming in second (just one point behind B), but I sure hope I can eventually make them all.

now the next step was figuring out the Color for this characters.

The Character is a Lancer Class and his nature is a well composed and has a very Chivalry. 

We will see which one gets chosen.
